zonte wine bottle
Zonte
The funny thing is, I am typing this up, watching Sideways (which was less than £3 from Amazon) and enjoying a glass/bottle of Zonte's Footstep Shiraz Viognier.

Many statements there. First of all, I cannot even remember where I got the bottle from. Could it have been Somerfield or Sainsbury? Not even sure. The bottle is beautifully marketed, and I suppose they got me on that. The Zorro 'Z', but with a horizontal slash. Nice touch. If you go to their website here: Zonte's Footstep, you will find that they have a big sense of marketing humour.

I was confused/attracted by the whole Shiraz and Viognier mix. Both I enjoy but never really mixed.

This was also recommended to me by a dear friend, Steve Howe, cheers man, and seeing as it was only a few pounds from Amazon. The film itself is a funny take on a pair of friend's stag week in Napa valley or whatever, but suited for the wine drinker.

I really loved the wine. Smooth but with a finish that adds something extra. A bit of tannin and so on. Not just full on Ozzie fruit. Nice.
