It does cost extra to get the coach and you don't get much of the last day so alternatively we could just stay in Girona and then get a train into Barcelona one. Heck the fact you are in Spain with cheap food and drink means it doesn't matter where you are.

I have some tentative dates and hotel costs. I used Fri 11th Feb till Tue 15th Feb. Flights with Ryanair are £90.60 per couple and a room at Hotel Costabella Sercotel was at a promotional rate of £150.27 for a double room. Supposedly it is only 5 minutes from the city centre.
