Seems like the skip people came back when I was away and started a repair on the concrete fence post. Looks like the letter worked and they listened to common sense. Good on them as I thought it might have gone a bit wrong on this one. |

Skippy, skippy Just had a company, wont name them just yet as they might stump up with the cash or it may go to my favourite small claims court in Bournemouth, who came to collect their skip.Talk about being a bit reckless and without care. He narrowly missed the back end of my car as he aggresively reversed slamming into the skip to try and realign it for his collection. Had he had an ounce of customer service or even common sense he could have knocked on my door and I would have moved the car but also help manually move the skip which he did in the end. Ah, this was after breaking the neighbour's concrete fence post with his mad reversing. I couldn't believe it. Had me and the neighbour not been in and watching it, they would have simply got away with it and denied all knowledge. Hmmm, I doubt the disclaimer they talk about would stand up in court. Anyway, it was not my property they damaged, apart from a gouge in y tarmac, it was the neighbour's property. Let's see what happens on Monday when the boss is back in. Let's hope they do the right thing. |

Make a Will It's all very boring and very grown up unfortunately but me and Angela have just updated our will through Laceys, that were donating their time free as part of a short term promotion for the Julia's House charity. We found that Laceys were very nice, helpful and quick. A lot of you (as in our friends) have got married in the last year or two and you need to sort a will out, even if it is just basic. Otherwise your stuff may not go to who you think it should if anything untowards happens. |

 (c) (r) (tm) Sick of the sight of seeing old faces from the 4-Sight and WAM!NET days. Bad enough having to meet up with the developers and techies the past 10 years and more, seeing them get married and have kids, now I come across people in my work life. Ooer missus.Time to have a bit of a reunion I think. Well some people seem to think so, so here we go.... Click for 4-Sight Reunion Event in Spring 2009 |

Looks like the Boscombe reef won't be finished this side of the year. The weather is not nice enough for them to work in so they are packing up for Xmas and coming back in Easter. |

Bournemouth Roadworks What's with Bournemouth and roadworks at the minute? So annoying. They stopped and started on around the traffic lights on Poole Road/Surrey Road junction several times now. Then its Christchurch Road up to Boscombe. Driving to work is a pain currently. Time to become a contractor in the roadworks sector during this credit cunch. |

3% base rate Not sure if the mortgage companies are buying into the spirit of Xmas and the interest rate drop.I immediately got a letter to say that my savings rates are getting cut but have only got the mortgage company to pass on the 0.5% cut from a few weeks back. Even then they are not reducing my payments but rather paying a bit more capital off. Show me the money.....! |

Why do Autotrader adverts have to one lady owner, lady doctor owner or even elderly lady owner? What, for a 4 litre Jag Sport, my arse! They are so cheap at the moment. Finding it hard to restrain myself from getting something for the weekend. Ooer, Mercedes. |

Nigel skittling Had fun last night in Christchurch yesterday at the Olde George Inn last night. Well, we played skittles in their annex thing at the back of the courtyard. The buffet was pretty good apart from a huge mountain of sliced meats and salmon that was still piled up high by the end of the night. Those kebabs were fantastic though. At £80 for just the hire of the place it was a bit steep but we had a laugh. Click for : e-mango Skittles photos Anyway, more shenannigans tonight with Angela's birthday bash at Rubyz. |

For those coming to Ange's 40th birthday evening at Rubyz, she has decided it is going to be a Hawaiian theme. Guess that means grass skirts for the ladies, Hawaiian shirts/shorts for the men. If you want to wear a coconut bikini or mankini then go ahead by all means. Judging by the weather yesterday, looks like Bournemouth might be cold and wet that night, so maybe bring a raincoat as well |
