Having the benefit of Freeview, I flicked around the other events, instead of just watching the main Hyde Park concert. Initially the Eden Project event looked very bare as the crowd at the front wasn't more than about 10 deep in the afternoon. By the night it was much more packed.

There was an excellent band from Senegal called Daara J doing African Hip Hop that got the crowd bouncing and joining in, probably more so than in London. The BBC have a page on the band as well.

Wrasse Records always seem to have a great list of artists on its books.

Funniest moment was watching Snoop Dogg shouting out "Make some mother f*cking noise!" then the camera pans to a 6 year old girl on her dads shoulders waving her hands up in the air.

Saw Coldplay at Crystal Palace
Tuesday, 28 June 2005
Got back about 3am this morning after watching Coldplay at Crystal Palace stadium last night. It was excellent.

Top tip for people who want to go to concerts at Crystal Palace: you don't even have to buy a ticket, just turn up, sit on the grassy hills around and you'll get to hear all the concert and in a few places you can even get a birds eye view of the whole stage and inside the stadium. They even put on toilets and food stalls for people outside the stadium!

Poole Ferry gets struck
Was out jogging near Hengistbury head around 10pm but suddenly thought I should go home when I saw the number of lightening strikes increase. It seemed like Swange to Poole area was getting hit quite bad.

How hot is it? Damned hot!
Monday, 20 June 2005
Scorchio! I almost melted away this weekend, especially having my first meal in a Vietnamese restaurant in Shoreditch, London.

Very authentic all round, especially the near 40 degree temperature inside.... and Angela wonders why the prospect of going to Vietnam for a month is not high on my list. Mentally I would love to go, physically I would end up a complete sweaty mess. Not a nice look.

Tele2: The joys of outsourcing!
Thursday, 16 June 2005
I thought hmmm, tele2 could save me money on my phone bill but I get the feeling of why bother. I signed up via the net, so how the hell could they get my name and address wrong? Mrs Gina Fong - err not quite. How could they get it so wrong!

They even asked me for a password when I called their customer server, at the third attempt having been cut off a couple of times. I can't remember setting a password nor would I have set it to the one they said it was.

I'll give it till the end of the year...

British Telecom were absolutely great in comparison whenever I have called previously.

Stuart and Emma
Stuart and Emma
Congratulations to the Bride and Groom. The sun came out for the wedding and it was a fantastic day. The Veuve flowed freely all day. The church and Prestwold Hall were fine settings for the occassion.

Must apologise for not filming the first dance. The champagne had got to my head by then and I couldn't read the display any more and my brain had turned to jelly. I thought it was recording..... d'oh!

I also missed out on all the cheese. I kept on asking everybody about where it was coming from but just couldn't take in all the answers.

I'm sure they'll post bits and piece on : Stuart and Emma's Website

Stuart and Emma's wedding this weekend!
Thursday, 02 June 2005
We're going up to Loughborough this weekend for Stuart and Emma P's weddings. Going to be a good laugh with lots of champagne flowing.

I have the task of capturing some camcorder shots, so maybe I need to keep off the booze for the first few hours...! No pressure, this is not THE wedding video.

Bar-b-que was cool. Next one: Friday August 26th!
Wednesday, 01 June 2005
Once the sun came out from behind the clouds it was fine. We initially thought there'd only be about 6 to 8 of us which would have been cosy but another 6 turned up, so cheers for the confirmation!

Mark Hopwood even went into the (freezing cold) water. Respect. I chickened out seeing as nobody else goes in, so I was outdone on this occassion.

Anyway, the next one will be on Friday August 26th. The fireworks will be shooting of the Pier/s. Unfortunately it is Rich P's stag weekend over in Berlin's many strip bars so there will be a contingent missing. So, pencil it in.

Bar-b-que is still on
Friday, 27 May 2005
Unfortunately the weather is not going to be as hot as Friday's but heck at 6pm it doesn't really matter. Get down to Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury, fight off the other shoppers and pick up the 2 for 1 bargain grill packs.

The bar-b spot has been booked so it's 6pm down at the bottom of Toft Zig Zag.

Glad to see Scrubs is back on the TV
Friday, 27 May 2005
One of the funniest programmes on TV. Usually sarcasm is not a thing readily appreciated by those across the pond but this hits the nail on the head.
