Have never got into Spanish red before but have tried a few recently.
This was a smooth drinking red and very nice. I was surprised and
pleasantly so. It was a gift so I don't know where it came from.
Someone e-mailed me who came across this entry on the internet and this is what they had to say...
Was searching for more information about this great wine
and came across your site. Just wanted to let you know that it's sold
in Lidl, at only £2.75 a bottle. Possibly showing the gift bearer as a
cheapskate, but it's good stuff :)

this should have a (5) rating in terms of value for money.
How strange, someone else e-mailed in and said that in Spain, the Lidl stores there sell it for 1.58 Euro! He or she (Wenche) wrote
I was searching the web for info about Spanish red Rioja, Monte Cielo, and was directed to this page. This is our favourite every-day wine and for those of you who travels to Spain: it is sold only at the Lidl stores and the price is Euro 1,58!
There mustn't be that much about Monte Cielo Rioja wine on the Internet if this site keeps coming up in Google searches.
