When you get a country pub that is recommened and is absolutely packed then it must have something going for it.

My friend Dave from North Walsham said the portions and the food were excellent. No need for a starter. Surely not, the starters looked good on the menu.

I went for the half of duck. It was half a duck. Very meat with crispy salted skin. Did I say it was a lot? I was stuffed and enjoyed it.

Angela went for the prawns and squid. Tender squid and prawns in chilli and salt batter. Tentacles and all which is a sign of a good restaurant in my view. All very nice and the chips were great.

Some got the beef dinner that came as thick pieces of steak perfectly cooked and tender. I think I could have polished that off easier than the duck.

Even though we were stuffed I had some ice cream as ice cream is not filling is it?

On one visit, it looks like a great pub to eat.
