From the front it looks like someone's house so we drove past it by mistake. It was somebody's house. I was told it actually belonged to a local property developer.

You need to drive through the iron gates, park up and walk past the large koi pond to the front door. On entering you are shown to a nice lounge where you can sit, take in an aperitif and read through the menu. Lots of choice. Easy option is to go for the set menu, which we did.

I had the scallops with peanut butter. Scallops were nice and plump but I wasn't too sure on the peanut butter. I like my seafood plain but it was an interesting offering. My duck was nice but I should have ordered medium rare. All the desserts we had were nice.

We had a nice evening and finished off with coffees and port back in the lounge.

It was a bit warm for me whilst eating. There wasn't much fresh air circulating in that converted lounge/dining area for me. Then again I am always hot.

Cost over £300 for the four of us, which included 2 bottles of wine, a couple of aperitifs each and ports at the end.
