Situated in Windemere in the Lake District, this is a fantastic hotel that has really wonderful food. We went here for our honeymoon and after a few days eating from their 5 course menus, I had to leave to table for a rest as I was so stuffed! Had to leave Angela by herself for about 10 minutes while I went for a lie down.

Their rooms are well decorated and we had one of their rooms with a four-poster bed with jacuzzi bath.

The location makes it a nice stopping point to visit the rest of the area.
