Having already tried a Chardonnay by Geoff Merrill I sort of knew what to expect. A deep golden colour and smooth oakey
finish. I have also had the Cabernet Sauvignon by the trio of Botham, Merrill and Willis. Now that was strange. Talk about wood!

I was intrigued as to what this would be like. I expected oak, but wondered whether it was just going to be too much.

In the end, it was good. As expected it was very golden. The colour was more like a dessert wine. Very smooth and very enjoyable.

I got this from Tesco which had a special on which brought the price down from £51 to £36 making it £6 a bottle. For the Chardonnay it is a bit of a bargain to get that level of opulence but the Cabernet Sauvignon disappointed.
