This was the first Pouilly Fume I have tried. People have said it is supposed to be quick smokey whatever that means. I guess after trying a Pouilly Fuisse which had a lucious and full taste to it, I was expecting a bit more depth to this.

Totally different type of wine altogether I have now learnt. Never been one for reading up on French wines and terminology but you learn something new everyday.

This one didn't have a huge depth to the taste in my mind. It had an initial taste which after a while did appear smokey but then felt a bit wishy washy. It did taste a bit better when I finished the rest of the bottle after a day or so, when there was more of a taste to it.
