My friend not being satisfied with having several bars, restaurants and pubs open in Newcastle has decided to open this bar/diner in Sunderland.
Slightly out of the way and not on any pub crawl route, does have its benefits. It is a place that people have to drive to for good food and enjoy a whole evening out. Plenty of car parking space and there is Premier Inn hotel next door for those that want to stop or are staying and fancy a bite next door.
When we were there, there was live entertainment on the weekend. The music level was spot on as I thought being two tables back from the small stage in the corner would be a bit loud but it was fine, and the band were really good as well.
It was only into the second week of opening when we went, and it had some teething problems which will disappear as some of the team are in from the parent group and their experience will filter down.
It's always nice to see a great selection of wine. Even better when the owner is paying! I think I will give the £1200 bottle of champagne a miss though.
