We had been to their Lymington restaurant several times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed each visit so we were very please that there was going to open a branch above Klute in Bournemouth.
<update> Lymington closed down ages ago. From what I have read, they have taken a nose dive. </update>
The food is very much Japanese but also very eclectic as well. The rare seared beef is excellent as is the whole sushi range.
There are several sushi places now in Bournemouth which is great seeing I used to have to travel up to London to get my sushi fix.
If you want to take you friends and family out for a Japanese meal then this is the place to go. It has plenty of tables and a good atmosphere. You can catch glimpses of the bustling kitchen.
I do wish they would change their chairs though. Not saying I have a big arse but they are very rigid and restrictive, verging on the downright annoying.
Since originally writing this, their menu has taken a pan-Asian appoach so there is Chinese, Thai and Korean elements in it.
If you want ramen soup noodles, katsu curry, edamame and such like then Nippon Inn, in Charminster, is a better bet.
