Having seen Stockbridge on the TV and various web pages about how it was awarded the award of foodie high street of the year, we thought we woud take a jolly jaunt through Romsey and onto Stockbridge.

It is a nice little village. Literally a high steet. We walked up and down expecting a lot more than what we saw. We were hungry and couldn't decide where to go thinking they must all be good.

We ended up in Lillies. The idea of it appealed. The execution of it was not so good. Average age of the diners was close to 60, although nothing wrong with that, and the average age of the serving staff seemed like 16. Nothing wrong with either of those factors. It's all about the food, mainly.

Mainly average and no where near any inkling of award winning. Admitedly, the high street got the award and not this place but still the whole experience should have been a lot better.
