I was going to go for a Pinot Noir instead of this bottle but changed my mind at the last moment. When I opened the bottle and took a sip, it just tasted like a Pinot Noir for some odd reason. On further drinking it didn't exhibit the usual peppery Shiraz qualities, but then again I was in the mood for this.

I'm still not sure what was up this this bottle. Normally the Shiraz's I have are a bit more fuller bodied and a bit more hard work. This went down nicely. It did say it has a softer palate on the label, but then again the 14.5% alcohol level might have something to do with it. Again, it didn't taste that strong.

Very confused!
