This one has me flumoxed and worried. Are my taste buds shot to piece over recent over indulgence or have they put the wrong stuff, but good stuff, into this bottle.

With a label like Blossom Hill and a title of Soft Fruity California Red Wine, I was expecting just an average soft and fruity red wine.

When I poured it I immediately thought, hmmm this is interesting. It wasn't the all purpose red colour, it had that tinge of reddish brown of a much better wine. After tasting it I thought this is actually really nice and it reminded me of something.

I couldn't quite make the connection but the following day I did. This tastes like the Barolo from Asda that I also like and probably costs a lot more. I didn't buy this bottle. It materialised in our kitchen.

I have held back on giving it 4.5 as I am still confused. Maybe it has been a hard year for me and my senses are going to pot.
