December already, argh!
Time flies.
Time flies.
Now that the dining table and chairs have come we are almost, almost done in the dining.
We just need a 8m extension. No, just kidding. I wish.
Just one more piece waiting to be delivered and that is it. It should be it. I hope it is the last bit.
Nevertheless, Hotel Fong continues to be very busy. Cheers.
At last! The roof has been completed.
After about of month, which was blessed with some great weather to begin with and then blighted by not so good weather, it is finally finished.
Luckily it was done by my good friend Peter so I got a bit of a bargain out of it. Actually, not sure whether it would have been better to pay him than pay for his beer!!
There was a bit of a scare part-way through when he left for the weekend and a bit of a storm came in. Leaking Velux windows are not good. Lots of buckets and stress but Ange sorted it out by climbing on the roof.
Well, if you are bored and want to take a look here they are: photos of new roof.
Supposedly it has taken about 7 tonnes off the house's shoulders. I bet it is feeling relieved. Loft needs boarding out but that is next year's project, I need some rest.
The golden sands of the Bournemouth coast is a huge draw for everyone, especially if the sun it out. I don't think there is anywhere better in the UK to be honest and to be biased :-)
This beach club is open to all and membership is free!
However, beware the dodgy traders that you might come across. I can think of one but you might want to refresh my memory. Sometimes no amount of rebranding can help with CRM and CMS sales.
What is Brain Creative Intelligence anyway? Not very evident when £330k+ got burnt through under the guise of another local company it emerged. I personally don't like other folk getting duped either.
Been pretty busy over the past couple of months with visitors to Hotel Fong and home improvements going on.
Karate people been and gone. Family been and gone.
Kitchen repainted. Dining room redecorated but just waiting for our table and chairs to complete the refit. Got a couple of good deals from Mac and Mac if you are looking for some nice furniture ideas.
Red Arrows and Bournemouth airshow done. Cocktails at The Larder House, drinks down the beach in Koh Thai's tent and the evening bands were all enjoyable. A shout out to The Revue who played a great gig at Cafe Riva. Really enjoyed their laid back and fun style of playing.
Complete roof replacement to begin next weekend!
So, it is not all finished yet...
