I have made a little update to the Shek website with a photograph of all the aunties from years before.

Well done to Max on completing the London Marathon yesterday. No simple feat.

"I managed to complete the marathon although my time was slow, 5:21, as my old leg injuries all kicked in with gusto about half way through. But I did it yey. On Sunday May 6th 2007, I have foolishly agreed to throw myself off the Tyne Bridge all in the name of charity, I will be zip wiring (James Bond Style) over the Tyne from the bridge over to HMS Calliope in Gateshead Quay for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
 
The aim of our fundraising is to raise as much money as possible to help people in need of a bone marrow transplant.  A transplant of bone marrow (or stem cells from the peripheral blood circulating the donor's body) can be used to offer hope to patients with leukaemia or other similar potentially fatal illnesses.  The Anthony Nolan Trust offers patients both in the UK  and all over the world a better chance of a successful transplant. Therefore i could appreciate you support in this matter in the form of sponsorship, this can be done online

Had a celebratory breakfast at Tesco before coming into work with the obligatory cream cakes. Oh how I felt sick.

Had a nice little chat with my young nephew Aidan who called me first thing to wish me a happy birthday.
