Got back from an excellent weekend at the championships which
was to celebrate Shiomitsu Sensei's 40 years of teaching karate. It was
also Angela's first visit to one of these things with me competing and
she
enjoyed it all, and I think he knew what was going on, perhaps.
I got through the first round in the kata event joint 7th and was joint 9th in
the second round so just missed out on being in the final by one place.
Pretty pleased with that actually.
You can see some photos of the event at the following link. None of me
competing yet as I was taking the pictures although there are some
wine-fuelled ones from the party afterwards!
OK, I am a fan of David Sylvian and many of you might think who the
f***. Anyway he has a new album out October 10th 2005, or so the
mailing lists on the Internet say called "Snow Borne Sorrow".
It was a bit windy to begin with but as always it dies down later on
and things don't seem to matter when the alcohol kicks in anyway. I
managed to brave the sea and go in for a couple of dips.
The Red Arrows visit Bournemouth again during a hot summer's
afternoon. It was their usual crisp show and luckily the clouds stayed
away enough to complete the show unlike last year. They finished just
in time before the dark rain clouds came over.
