This contemporary Thai restaurant is part of the Studland Dene Hotel.

The menu encompasses traditional and modern Thai dishes in a pretty classy environment. There are views over the sea and in summer it is nice to sit out on the patio area having lunch.

There is a cocktail bar there that can serve up most things that you may desire.

We've been there several times and we'd recommend it.

The only issue we did have was night night we had an early booking and agreed to leave by a certain time which was OK and we would have left by then if only we didn't have a long wait to get our credit cards back. Meanwhile the manager hassled us to leave and we swiftly told him we would have been gone by now if we didn't have to wait an age for our credit cards to come back.

This place is now starting to bug me. Food is good but the whole service and experience is not what it should be. Me and Angela were there again this Aug 06, for meal on our 9th wedding anniversary. We sat in the Bistro end but half of use ordered of the bistro menu and the other half ordered from the Thai menu, which was handy. My halibut steak was really nice and so was everybody else's.

The Thai meal took a while, understandable as the Thai part of the place was fully booked. The issue that I did have was with the price of their Thai fixed menu. During the week it represents good value. On a Saturday night it goes up to around £16. It was not clear that this was only for two courses. If it was for 3 then it would have been a good dealm but for two it was rediculous. You could order one item from the starter and one of the main courses (one of the noodle dishes to be precise) and it would have been cheaper to order it via the proper menu and not the set priced one! Bloody stupid if you ask me.

After questioning the bill, and to be fair to the staff there, they took off the price of the desserts that people ordered as they assumed it was part of the fixed menu.

A shame really as they have an extensive cocktail bar in the place.

I think my time there has now finished. Holds no real attraction, unless it gets better, way better.
