After a 7 hour drive from Bournemouth to Leeds, that should have taken around 5 and a bit hours, I was up for splashing out a bit and also it was Angela's birthday as well, so it made sense.
Better still, I got a 30% discount voucher from their web site. I couldn't print it out but they were fine with seeing it on my phone.
Deal, done.
Whilst we were trying to decide what to have we chose to take them up on their special of 6 oysters and 2 glasses of prosecco for £15. That gave us a bit more time to look through the menu. I thought that was a bargain at £15 but when I saw the final bill it was nearer £10 with the discount. We should have had a couple more of those.
I had my eye on the Classic Platter but seeing as it was Angela's birthday we went for the Livebait Mixed Board and a bowl of chips.
Big pieces of grill sea bass, plump mussels, crevettes, battered squid rings, whitebait, sardine, red mullet and huge scallops.
Had a really nice night and the food was streets ahead of Loch Fyne.
They had a promotion on for two glasses of prosecco and 6 oysters. I could have had that all over again all night long!
