The Fountain Chinese Restaurant

I went here for someone's birthday on a Saturday night. It was very busy.

This is another all you can eat buffet, but unlike Hot Wok in town, they do not have a central buffet area that you go up and help yourself. You order of a standard menu. There is plenty of good stuff on the menu, including a course of aromatic duck before your main course.

It was about £18 over the weekend, which is not cheap but you would normally pay that kind of price for just a few dishes elsewhere, but at least here you can order a wider range of dishes to try. Being able to order more of their prawn, squid and mussel dishes was great without having to worry about racking up the bill even further. The beef in black bean sauce was very tender.

I will probably try the place again given the next kind of group event.

I wuold say that it probably isn't the right setting for a romatic meal for two though given the noise and hustle.
