Cafe East - Vietnamese restaurant

I've seen several blogs that said this place was really good. Whilst going into London for a business meeting my brother-in-law took me for lunch here first.

The red bean drink, Che Ba Mau, was very interesting. Never had something like this before. Full of crushed ice, red beans, some firm green jelly and topped off with coconut cream. You have to mash it up and once that is done it turns into a lasting and very refreshing tall drink. Goes well with spicy food.

The Banh Cuon, which are very similar to Chinese Cheung Fun, were very soft and succulent. I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls myself. All the salad makes things very light and healthy.

The best of all was the traditional Vietnamese beef noodles dish. The beef was tender and almost rare, as it should be through just being cooked by the heat of the deep tasty broth.

I would come back time and time again. The other good thing is, it is great value as well. The cafe type seating makes it all about the food.
