We got a couple of cases as a wedding gift from our friends. What are they trying to imply? It was the 1990 vintage and we were drinking them in 1998. At that time I felt it was still a bit acidic and I wasn't that impressed. Tasted almost the same as the Black Label but it was about 10 to 15 pounds more expensive.

Come 2003, I took a bottle away for when me and Angela celebrated our 10 years together and it was a totally different matter. The colour was so golden and the taste very much smoother and condensed (if that is a valid wine term) and the fizz had calmed down. It was like nectar from the Gods.
