Actually we had hope to go to the Pig Hotel but that was fully booked so a quick search for a New Forest Sunday lunch at a nice hotel brought up Lime Wood, which is part of the same group that owns the Pig Hotel anyway. It looked pretty swank anyway.

The kind of brasserie area was full so we got booked into the dining room. I didn't know whether they did Sunday lunch nor how much it cost. I'll not give it away...

They sat us by the opened doors that go into the garden with fish ponds. It was a beautiful sunny early March weekend and we had a very nice relaxing lunch. The boat was pushed out a little bit but the staff were very attentive to the right level, service was excellent, food was good, my wine choice of Geoff Merrill Pimpala Road turned out really well and the setting was top notch.
