It is without doubt that this is my second home now. You can still read my first impressions right at the bottom of this page, but over time it has grown and transformed itself. They've expanded upstairs into a cocktail bar, they've expanded into the back making a sheltered courtyard out of it.

Read about their theme nights if you want a touch of something different: Whisky Night, Gin Night. What about having a private party there, just let them know I sent you. :-)

<update>

Since first going there back in 2011, I have been more than a few times in 2012 at night and has turned into a bit of an enjoyable treat. Been really getting into supporting the local businesses on the high street and I now recognise that The Larder House are doing something different and something special. It might not be for everyone, there might be those that just like high street chains, but what I realise now is that those will never have staff and products as nice as these independents with the passion to achieve.

Currently it's all about the platters and cocktails for me at The Larder House. I've never really drunk Bloody Marys before but they are going down a treat now. The fact that they serve it with a couple of slices of cured meat helps turn the drink into a snack!

They are always seeking new things for the menu. They are also putting live music events for a chilled out Sunday afternoon vibe. There are also whole theme nights as well.

A big thumbs up from us now.

Was given this scotch egg for free as they were in the process of trying them out. Hopefully they will become a part of the menu as they were delicious.

This place cafe/restaurant keeps on changing hands and changing face.

Since it has become Larder House we have been here for breakfast and lunch. It describes itself as a place for artisan food and fine moods. Sticky tables and slightly high prices may not help but bringing a different approach is to be encouraged.

If you want a traditional breakfast, then they don't do one. Well sort of, well they do a breakfast pizza and they say has all what you would expect but on a pizza. Then why not throw them on a plate for those that like it that way. Thin crispy base pizza will take getting used to.

The salmon and eggs was nice but Ludo Lounge wins that competition.

For lunch we tried one of the platters. Interesting enough but it just looked like a dried and shriveled assortment of meats and cheese.
